Our latest acquisition State-of-the-art Shima Seiki  Mach 2 X Bed Knitting Machine with four needle beds is breaking new ground in the complexity of what can be manufactured.

Although not clearly visible, the above component is tapered to the edge, is crescent shaped, 8mm in height and no more than 10mm in depth (front to back in the centre section). The component is manufactured complete and sealed on all edges, with an interlacing internal geometry as shown.

Developmental work is on-going in this sector.
