| Our customer, Polymer Engineering, required a reinforcement with exact peripheral dimensions and with flexibility to accommodate corrugated contours while still retaining structural integrity. It was also necessary to have a reduced thickness around the rim to avoid compromising seals within the tool. The resulting component comfortably met the specifications and forms one of many examples of what our technology is able to achieve. |

We were approached by the Rail Technical Center to resolve the problem of water ingress to air intakes as a result of snow. To provide a solution to this problem, we manufactured a component which incorporated many different features. In order to fit various intake apertures, the component was knitted to shape and complete with integal attachments and pockets for suspension weights. The structure has a pore size which prevents snow intake whilst not restricting air flow, and is produced from a fibre which s no susceptible to decay to ensure long life and reliability. |
